1. Synthesis and characterization of chalcogenolato complexes of copper, cadmium, silver and zinc as precursors for solid-state materials;
2. Synthesis and characterization of ligands suitable for extraction of heavy metals and their application in industrial (effluents) and environmental (water purification, metal recovery from acid mine drainage) fields;
3. Micronutrient levels and bioavailability studies of essential elements in foodstuffs;
4. Assessment of mycotoxins (aflatoxins) levels in foods and food products;
5. Environmental pollution studies (analysis of DDT and its metabolites DDE, DDA, DDD in different samples, heavy metal analysis in paint;
6. Water and wastewater purification studies using combined clay adsorption- coagulation process and Moringa oleifera.
