Research Areas

My research focuses on using ‘omics technologies to elucidate disease pathogenesis. The broad application of these technologies has meant I have had the privilege of being part of some exciting and diverse scientific teams from toxinology to forensics. My current areas of interest are:

  1. One Health and zoonoses
  2. Snakes, snake venom, and snakebites in collaboration with Eswatini Antivenom Foundation
  3. Ecological determinants of health
  4. Cancer and nutrition
